This coating makes the glass easier to clean and helps maintain its clarity over time. Essentially, ShowerGuard helps keep your shower glass looking clean and clear with less effort required for maintenance.
Daily Maintenance:
After each use, wipe down the glass shower door with a squeegee or a soft cloth to remove water droplets and soap scum. This helps prevent build-up and keeps the glass looking clean.
Regular Cleaning:
Periodically clean the glass with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners as they can damage the glass or the ShowerGuard coating.
Avoid Abrasive Materials:
Use a soft cloth or sponge when cleaning to avoid scratching the glass or the coating. Microfiber cloths are generally a good choice.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals:
Do not use abrasive cleaners or ammonia-based cleaners on the glass as these can damage the coating. Stick to mild cleaners specifically recommended for cleaning glass. ShowerGuard website provides a list of their recommended cleaning products.
Ventilation:
Ensure proper ventilation in the bathroom to reduce humidity and prevent mold or mildew from forming on the glass.
Long Term Care:
ShowerGuard is designed to resist permanent staining and reduce the need for frequent cleaning, but regular maintenance is still necessary to preserve its effectiveness.
